Kotoko might have returned to Ghana with a 3-2 defeat to Nigerian giants Kano Pillars but definitely not without positives after scoring two goals, one of which was a sumptuous free-kick by midfielder Godfred Asiamah.
The Ghana Premier League giants locked horns with their Nigerian counterpart on Saturday to start off their campaign in this year’s edition of the CAF Champions League.
They, unfortunately, lost 3-2 to Kano Pillars and have now turned attention to the second leg of the fixture which comes off on August 13 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Midfielder Godfred Asiamah found the net in the second half from a direct free-kick to give the Porcupine Warriors a 2-1 lead before the Kano based club scored twice to win the game.
The left-footed player curled the ball over the wall and straight into the back of the net.
