Video: Watch how the South African players cheered Ghana to beat New Zealand

The Bantwana of South Africa stayed at the Estadio Charrúa stadium after the loss to Brazil to cheer the Black Maidens in their final group game with New Zealand on Tuesday.

South Africa were beaten by Brazil 4-1 in their game played as the same venue as that of the Ghana game.

The players with their officials after a disappointing result stayed at the venue to cheer the Ghana girls to victory.

Captain Mukarama Abdulai scored a brace to help Ghana beat New Zealand 2-0, a result that puts the Ghana team on top of their group. Below is a video of the South African team cheering Ghana in the stands

The results will see Ghana play Mexico in the quarterfinals tie scheduled for Sunday November 25 at 4pm.

This is the fourth time Ghana will be making it to this stage of the competition in a row having lost the last two quarter finals games.
