It was a special day at the Ciutat Esportiva PAMESA Ceramica. Once again, and for a fifth year in a row, Villarreal CF were responsible for hosting the prestigious LaLiga Promises tournament at their training ground, where sportsmanship and youth football take centre stage as in previous editions.
Club president Fernando Roig spoke in glowing terms about the tournament, which according to him "turns the town of Vila-real into a future footballing capital" when hosted.
Also on the guest list at the presentation event was LaLiga Ambassador David Albelda, who highlighted the fact that "the results [at LaLiga Promises] aren't the most important thing. The aim is to have fun, make friends, learn and enjoy the experience of developing as a footballer."
