Ghana striker Jordan Ayew has developed a reputation as Aston Villa's Mr Grumpy but a rare photograph has emerged of him smiling.
It was posted by his Villa team-mate Jack Grealish on Snapchat today as Steve Bruce's squad made their way down to Brighton & Hove Albion for tomorrow night's Championship fixture at the Amex Stadium.
"Yes, smiling Ayew" was the caption Grealish put on the picture along with emojis of shocked faces, crying-with-laughter faces and 'hallelujah' hands.
Ayew is known for his surly expressions, but might have been smiling about returning to contention for the match against the Seagulls after missing the win over Blackburn Rovers because of a one-match ban.
The 25-year-old Ghana international has been a first team regular this season, making 15 appearances and scoring three goals.
