Villarreal interested in Mubarak Wakaso; likely to make a move in January

Spanish La Liga Club, Villarreal has reportedly shown interest in Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso and will make a move for the hardworking player in the January transfer window.

The Black Stars player was at the center of several transfer speculations during the summer window but stayed on with his Deportivo Alaves side.

Since the start of the season, he has played a key role for his club and has been impressive in the middle of the park in the process.

He has now appeared on the radar of Villarreal who are strongly interested in his services.

The Yellow Submarines are said to be readying an offer which will be presented to Alaves in the January transfer window in a bid to poach the Ghanaian midfield enforcer.

Wakaso has a year left on his contract and might depart the El Glorisso if Villarreal makes the move.

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old is fully concentrated on Alaves at the moment after featuring in all five La Liga matches of the ongoing 2019/2020 season.
