Ghanaian international Vincent Atinga played 90 minutes on Saturday for Al Shabab in their 5-3 defeat to Al Salmiya at the Mishref Stadium in the Kuwaiti topflight league.

The center-back who has been in fine form since the start of the season endured an unfortunate spell together with his defensive partners, leaving them to concede 5 goals in the process.

The former Hearts of Oak man and his Al Shabab side were down to two goals just 10 minutes into the first half courtesy strikes from Oday Dabagh and Mubarak Al Finini.

Ahmad Zanki and Ibrahima Gueye pulled parity for the home side before they break to give them a chance of grabbing victory in the second half.

A determined Al Salmiya side returned from the break and scored 3 goals to take the game beyond the reach of their opponent.

The match eventually ended 5-3 with Vincent Atinga and his team very much disappointed.
