Vincent Sowah-Odotei picks nomination form for GFA Executive Council elections

Vincent Sowah-Odotei has officially picked up his nomination forms to contest for a slot on the Executive Council in the upcoming GFA elections, Footballghana.com can report.

The member of Parliament for Dadekotopon Constituency joins Medeama board chairman Dr. Toni Aubynn, Asante Kotoko CEO, Mr. George Amoako, AshantiGold CEO Mr. Frederick Acheampong, former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Randy Abbey and Alhaji Grunsah of King Faisal for the elections.

He previously contested in the GFA elections for the Presidency with  former FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi which he lost.

There are talks for the two biggest clubs in Ghana, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak to have a representation on the Executive Council hence the decision by Vincent Odotei-Sowah to contest on behalf of the club

Candidates are expected to pick up their forms and submit them by close of work on Friday, September 20.

Vetting for the qualified candidates is scheduled for September 26 to October 1 with the elections slated for October 25 in Accra.

120 members of Congress, representing various clubs, welfare bodies, and constituent bodies will vote to elect a new FA President and his Executive Council.
