Vitale: EXCLUSIVE - Roma must sell Liverpool target Salah; Man Utd has no-one like Perisic; Szczęsny Roma own goal

If a fee can be agreed - and it's close - Mohamed Salah would be a great addition for Liverpool.

Salah has long been in talks with Liverpool. Giallorossi need to sacrifice at least one player in order to satisfy Financial Fair Play terms, plus they have to pay several options for outright transfers. For example, the new sports director Monchi has to buy Bruno Peres, Mario Rui and Juan Jesus and they're sure to cost more than €35 million.

Roma and Liverpool have been in talks for Salah since May, but Monchi's asking at least €40 million to let him go and has already rejected a bid of €34 million.

Remy Abbas, the agent of the player, had been in London until the day of the Champions League final. Liverpool have agreed all personal terms with Salah and now Jurgen Klopp is waiting.

"Momo" (as Roma fans call him) did great with Luciano Spalletti as a second striker, in his 3-5-2. He is a wonderful assist-man and would be perfect for Klopp's football style, technical and fast.

ROMA FANS WILL BACK TOTTI WHATEVER HE DECIDES

Francesco Totti should stop playing. After his final game with Genoa, he left the Olimpico Stadium in tears, asking Roma fans to help him, because he's afraid.

He hasn't decided his new career yet, but Monchi asked Francesco to work alongside him. Roma fans love Totti and simply they hope the best for him and they wouldn't feel failed or betrayed.

Of course, Roma fans hope he will stay in Rome, with AS Roma's colours, forever. Honestly, I think he will stop, because his last football shirt said "Una squadra per la vita", "One team for a lifetime". Anyway, he will always be the King of Rome, no matter what, Roma fans don't care about his future decisions.

SZCZESNY A ROMA OWN GOAL

Wojciech Szczęsny to Juventus? I am totally unhappy. I think it's an incredible own goal. Let's just be clear: Roma never had an option to buy. Roma took Szczesny two times in a row on a free loan, without options to buy.

Former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini (now at Inter/Suning) decided to buy Alisson and make him the future goalkeeper of AS Roma. For me, that was a really bad idea. Szczesny has more experience, is stronger and is one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.

Unfortunately, a sporting director who now works for a competitor decided Roma's future. Alisson is strong, no doubt, he made a very good impression when he played last season, but he needs to work hard to become stronger than Wojciech Szczesny.

WHY NINJA HATES JUVE

Radja Nainggolan was again winding up Juventus fans after they lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

He hates Juventus because he thinks they "always win due to penalties", as said "Ninja" in the past. He rejected several offers from Juventus when he used to play for Cagliari and two summers ago, when he decided to remain a Giallorosso (and he will stay this season too, he loves Rome and Roma).

His taunts after Juventus' defeat in Cardiff were a "joke" aimed at Juventus fans who used to offend him on social networks. Roma fans love him even more for this reason.

MAN UTD HAVE NO-ONE LIKE PERISIC

We talked about Manchester United and Ivan Perisic four months ago, here on Tribal Football. He is a unique player, right now I can't think of anyone else like him in the Premier League.

He reminds me of Tottenham's version of Gareth Bale, when he played left winger. He is very fast and technical, but he lacks in tactical ability when he defends. Often he remains too high in the pitch and keeps the defensive line too high. He is perfect for a 4-3-3, whereas he struggles in a 3-5-2. Perisic is almost a striker. Manchester United hasn't a player like him and Jose Mourinho could do great things with the Croatian left winger.

DZEKO AND DI FRANCESCO PERFECT MATCH

Edin Dzeko always struggles in his first season in a new league. He did the same with Wolfsburg and Manchester City, then in the second season he became unstoppable.

He was the best striker in the Europa League and in Serie A, scoring more goals than players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mauro Icardi, Gonzalo Higuain and other top players.

I don't think Luciano Spalletti's departure will hurt him, because Spalletti's football style isn't built to make the striker score, unlike Maurizio Sarri's and Massimiliano Allegri's.

Eusebio Di Francesco helped Gregoire Defrel (not exactly a bomber) score 16 goals in the last season. Sassuolo's former coach plays very offensive football and I think both of them will have fun next season.
