Vitesse chief Allach: Cup success not due to Chelsea

Vitesse Arnhem technical director Mohammed Allach denies the club relies too much on Chelsea's loan players.

Vitesse beat AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Cup final on Sunday, though the Chelsea contingent had little influence on the result.

Allach told NOS: "I think it's a perception, but that is very rapidly disappearing. Ultimately, the facts stand and the fact is that we are not bound to a club like Chelsea.

"We have a very good relationship and we do strategic business with them. It is also a fact that we have many self trained players. In that respect, we are changing perceptions."

This season, Matt Miazga, Lewis Baker, Nathan and Mukhtar Ali are all on-loan at Vitesse from Chelsea.
