Wa All Stars in the market for a 'License A' coach

Published on: 05 December 2019

Wa All Stars have reportedly started the search for a License A coach to take over from Manager John Paintsil before the start of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

The former league champions are hoping to challenge for glory in the upcoming season but have been hit with a challenge as they continue preparations in the off-season.

The instilling of the Club Licensing rules by the newly constituted Ghana Football Association (GFA) means that all clubs in the top-flight must have a coach that has a minimum qualification of CAF License A.

Current Was All Stars manager John Paintsil is lacking in that area and will not be able to lead the club as their head coach for the upcoming season.

In line with that, information being picked up indicate that they are looking to hire a License A coach to join the formal Black Stars defender on the bench.

Once that is done, he will continue his coaching course on the side to get his License upgraded.
