West African Football Club (WAFA) have debunked reports suggesting Hearts of Oak have completed the signing highly-rated youngster Konadu Yiadom.

Reports went rife in the local media that the Phobians have acquired the services of Yiadom.

But WAFA's Operations Manager, George Ofosuhene says the club has not agreed a deal with Hearts for the defender.

"WAFA does not have any agreement with Hearts of Oak concerning the signing of Konadu Yiadom. Neither have they (Hearts) written officially to us for the services of the said player," he told OTEC FM.

"We (WAFA) still have a running contract with the player. Those stories in the media are all speculations."

Yiadom was linked with a move to several clubs in Europe and was close to sealing a move to Belgian Jupiler Pro League but the deal fell through.

The 21-year-old received offers from Germany, Austria and Portugal.

WAFA will take on Medeama on match week 26 of the Ghana Premier League at the Tarkwa and Aboso (TNA) park and will look to secure their first away win of the season.
