The Academy boys will host the Ghanaian giants on Sunday, as the new season begins.

Following an impressive showing in the last campaign, where WAFA finished second for the first time in the club history.

Meanwhile, most of the clubs top players have left the team in search of greener pastures.

Caleb Amankwa and Emmanuel Boateng have joined rivals Aduana Stars, with Majeed Ashimeru and Captain Gideon Waja moving abroad.

However, Inusah Adams is unfazed by the departures of the club's top players and insisted the club will beat Kotoko on Sunday.

"We had a good season last term but I believe we will have a very good season this term because of how well our off-season went." he told Kumasi based, Ahoto FM.

"Even in the absence of some of our players who left to join other clubs, we still have the men to beat Asante Kotoko regardless the venue."
