WAFU B U-17 LOC meet Executives of regional body in Accra ahead of kick off

The Local Organizing Committee of the WAFU B U-17 Cup of of Nations qualifiers has met with Executives of the sub-regional body to discuss matters of mutual benefits, strategies and preparations for the upcoming tournament in Cape Coast.

The meeting was chaired by LOC Chairman Samuel Anim Addo. Others included tournament Coordinator Ama Brobey Williams and Member James Essilfie.

The LOC Chairman Samuel Anim Addo updated the Executives on progammes and campaigns that have been carried out by the Committee and assured that plans are afoot for Cape Coast to host one of the best football events in history.

''We are impressed by the work done so far and we are very hopeful of a great tournament in Cape Coast'' WAFU B Executive Director Boureima Balima told ghanafa.org.

''This tournament means a lot to the Executives of WAFU B and I am glad to be in Accra to help you to execute your mandate as organizers of the competition'' he added.

Also in the meeting was Bailly Serge Innocent - Competitions Manager of WAFU.

Seven countries including defending champions Cote D’Ivoire, Nigeria, Niger, Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso and Host Ghana will compete for the title from June 11 -24, 2022.

The Black Starlets will kick start the competition with a game against Nigeria on Saturday, June 11 at 4pm.
