Wait for a while before deciding fate of 2019/2020 season – Abbey Pobee tells GFA

Veteran football administrator, Jonathan Abbey Pobee has charged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to wait for a while before deciding on the fate of the 2019/2020 football season.

Ghan's football season commenced in December but only last for 3 months and had to be suspended to curb the spread of the deadly Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis which has taken over the world.

Though football is gradually making a return in Europe and other parts of the world this month, it is unclear whether same can happen in the West African country.

While pressure continues to mount on the Ghana FA to make a decision on the season, Abbey Pobee says the country's football governing body must not rush.

“The FA should still wait for a while before making any decisions because we can't compare our league to the Europeans”, the owner of Neoplan Stars said in an interview with West FM.

The Ghana FA is currently in a dilemma on what the fate of the football season should be. Meanwhile, they have said that they will make a decision at the end of this month.
