Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has told players in the Black Stars wishing to be made head of the team to bid their time and wait till his reign as skipper is over.

In the last six months, the Shanghai SIPG attacker has not been consistent for the national team following his reoccurring injuries.

In his absence, Andre Ayew has led the team with many stating that the Swansea City Star should be made the captain with Gyan as the general captain.

But Gyan has stated that, all those talks must be put on hold as he had to wait for his time to be made captain of the Ghana national team.

‘’I was called to captain Ghana when it was my turn so people should wait when my reign is over. If God never call you and you wear a crown on your head, it will be fruitless and won’t be a blessing from God,’’ he told Accra based radio station Happy FM
