The hardworking midfielder sustained the injury on his right hand during his club’s weekend fixture against Osasuna where they lost 4-2 in the Spanish La Liga.

Further checks on the hand revealed that he has a fracture to the metacarpus. He had surgery on Tuesday to correct the injury and has now started training with his teammates.

Deportivo Alaves shared yesterday after the surgery: “Wakaso Mubarak has been intervened today in the Mutualia HAR of the fracture in the metacarpus of his right hand that he suffered in the last match against CD Osasuna”.
