Wassaman Coach impressed by team’s performance against Kotoko

Head Coach of division one side Wassaman United, Nana Yaw Amankwa insists he is impressed by his boy’s performance despite losing 1-0 to Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the MTN FA Cup round of 16.

The second tier side produced a spirited performance against the Porcupine Warriors but only for victory to be snatched from their noses after Kotoko Captain Amos Frimpong scored from the spot.

Coach of the former premier league side was however satisfied by his boys display but bemoaned the mistake that led to the penalty.

“I was impressed with my boys. They did very well, it’s just lack of concentration at the back that is why we made such silly mistake and we conceded that penalty,” he said after the game.

“In previous games Kotoko were picking up, they went to Aduana and picked a point so we were hoping to beat them here but it’s rather unfortunate we didn’t get that,” he added.
