WATCH Black Queens' first training session in Nigeria ahead of Aisha Buhari Cup

Black Queens of Ghana held their first training session in Nigeria on Tuesday ahead of the start of the Aisha Buhari Invitational tournament.

Coach Mercy Tagoe put the players through their paces in Lagos as they intensify preparations.

The Aisha Buhari Cup is a six nations Invitational Women’s Football Tournament involving Cameroun, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Mali, and host Nigeria.

The Black Queens are in Group B alongside South Africa and Cameroon.

The tournament begins on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, with hosts, Nigeria playing Mali.

Dubbed ‘Playing for Good’, the highly anticipated six nations tournament is been organized in honour of the First Lady of Nigeria, Dr Aisha Buhari in conjunction with the Aisha Buhari Foundation and also to build and sustain positive narratives about Women football on the continent.

The competition will be used by all participating teams to prepare for the pending Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers.
