Ghana international, Edwin Gyasi was thrown into a jubilant mood on Monday night during his Samsunspor outfit’s thrashing of Ümraniyespor in the Turkish lower-tier league.

The highly-rated forward joined the club this summer after saying his goodbyes to Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia.

In the run-up to the start of the 2020/2021 TTF League season, Edwin Gyasi suffered an injury setback and missed the opening match.

Yesterday, he watched from the stands when Samsunspor locked horns with Ümraniyespor at the Canik 19 May Stadium.

In a game that ended 3-0 for the home team courtesy strikes from Tomane, Gokhan Alsan, and Enes Ilkin, the Ghana forward could not hide his joy as he was captured in a video celebrating his team’s victory.

Gyasi, 29, has commenced training and is in line to feature for Samsunspor on Sunday when the team takes on Bandirmaspor.
