Ghana striker David Accam scored from the spot and provided an assist for Chicago Fire as they cruise to a comfortable 3-0 win over Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the US Open Cup. Accam, 24, opened scoring early after he was brought down inside the penalty box by Fort Lauderdale goalkeeper Diego Restrepo. The Ghanaian forward converted his attempt from the penalty spot, scoring his fourth goal in this year’s Open Cup tournament and putting the Fire up 1-0 in the fifth minute.
