Okaka only joined Anderlecht last summer but ended his debut season in the Belgian capital with 17 goals in all competitions after scoring four times for Sampdoria the year before.

Now 27 years of age and an Italian international since 2014, the Umbria-born forward actually spent the second half of the 2009/10 campaign on loan at Fulham so life in England and the Premier League won't be completely alien to him.

Okaka scored twice in the league for the Cottagers in only 11 appearances before returning to Roma, the club where he started his career, at the end of his brief stay in London.

The player has also spent time with Modena, Brescia, Bari, Parma and Spezia over the last 10 years.

He joins a Watford side with healthy competition for places up front, keeping Troy Deeney, Odion Ighalo and Isaac Success on their toes.
