The Ododiodoo MP is quite dissatisfied with the state of the league and Ghanaian football, and he thinks that much work has to be done to make things better.

In an interview with Citi Sports, he claimed that Ghana had lagged behind other African nations, and this was evidenced by the recent matches the Black Stars has played.

The former sports journalist thinks something urgent needs to be done to salvage the local league.

“We are deceiving ourselves that we are playing a league, but we are not. I go and sit there and watch a match and I ask myself whether, it is a colts team playing or division three.”

They are nowhere  near the premier league teams quality; very poor. The players are substandard. We must do something about the local league.”
