We are still the continental club masters - Hearts MD insists

The Managing Director for Accra Hearts of Oak, Frederick Moore has stressed that the club remains the continental club masters despite their failure to match up with past glory in recent years.

The Ghana Premier League giants between 2000 and 2004 conquered the African continent where they won the CAF Champions League [2000], the CAF Confederations Cup [2004], as well as the CAF Super Cup [2001].

In the last decade, the club which is nicknamed the Phobians has failed to keep their performance at top level and continues to even struggle to perform on the local scene.

Speaking to Kumasi FM, MD Frederick Moore says that does not change the fact that they are the continental club masters.

“We are still the continental club masters. We have been reviewing how we have not won a trophy in a while but some of the big clubs in the world have also gone a long time without a tittle but the most important thing is that we’ve got one of the best board chairmen, a good board and good players", he said.

Mr. Moore further emphasized, "The continental club masters cannot be taken from us because of what we have done in the past. With the consistency at the top,I think we are now on the road to bigger things.”
