Kudus played a vital role, contributing to both the equalizing own goal and netting the winning strike. Tomas Soucek added a third goal at London Stadium on Thursday night.

Kudus, at 23 years old, provided a valuable perspective on the team's strategic approach.

He commended the squad's determination, emphasizing their dedication to the coach's teachings, which ultimately led to their impressive comeback.

“We wanted the goals in the first half so that we can control the game but we didn’t have any,” Kudus said.

“We went down but the winning mentality from the guys was good. We kept doing what the coach taught us and the results came afterward.”

This is Mohammed Kudus’ third appearance for West Ham United and his first start, after substitute appearances in the Premier League.
