We need to work hard and be ready for CAF Champions League - Samartex's Emmanuel Keyekeh

FC Samartex midfielder, Emmanuel Keyekeh, has emphasized the need for extra hard work from his teammates as they gear up for their inaugural Africa challenge.

The Samreboi-based side, having clinched the Ghana Premier League title, is set to make their debut in the CAF Champions League next season.

Samartex's remarkable season saw them secure the championship with two games to spare, finishing on 61 points.

Keyekeh, the team captain, expressed gratitude for the successful season, attributing it to hard work and divine favor.

He stressed the necessity for intensified efforts in preparation for the CAF Champions League, acknowledging the significant difference and scale of the competition.

"It has been an amazing season and all thanks to God, we also worked hard for it,” the Captain told JoyPrime.

"We need to work hard for it [CAF Champions League] because it is a different stage, big stage that we need to work extra hard for it. Either than that, we cannot achieve our game.”

The team is scheduled to commence training on July 1st, aiming to adequately prepare for their maiden continental competition.
