We still have a lot of work to do – Asante Kotoko No.2 coach Orlando Wellington after Samartex win

Assistant coach for Asante Kotoko Orlando Wellington believes his side has got of a work to do despite defeating Samartex last Saturday.

Kotoko recorded their third away win of the season when they travelled to Samreboi on Saturday, March 18 2023 to face Samartex.

The Porcupine Warriors took the lead in the 18th minute through Enock Morrison in the 18th minute. Rocky Dwamena netted Kotoko’s second before half time.

The Timber Giants pulled one back through Acquah in the 69th minute but couldn’t prevent Kotoko from doing the double over them this season.

After the game, Orlando Wellington asserted his side still has a lot of work to do despite recording a win at away.

“I feel very great but we still have a lot of work to do because in the second half they mounted a lot of pressure on us”

“Before the game, I told my players to keep the ball in the half of the opponent not our own, they committed a lot of fouls against us only that our opponent couldn’t utilize the fouls they got against us”

Kotoko are 5th on the Ghana Premier League table with 34 points after 21 matches.
