South Africa captain and goalkeeper Ronwen Williams has admitted that the team will be keeping an eye on the encounter between Ethiopia and Ghana on November 11.

The Black Stars and the Bafana Bafana are fighting for the top spot on the Group G standings of the African qualifiers to advance to the final stage of the qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

On Thursday, both Ghana and South Africa will play their penultimate game of the qualifiers.

Knowing that Ghana’s game will be played before the South Africa match, Ronwen Williams says the Bafana Bafana will be watching the game to see how it pans out.

"It's going to be difficult not to [focus on earlier game] because qualification could be wrapped up there and then for us.

"So obviously, we will have one eye on that game. I'm pretty sure though me, the coach and the technical team will keep reminding the players we've got a massive game ourselves,” the South Africa goalkeeper said.

He added, "We don't want any favours from anyone and we want to do it ourselves. The ball is in our court.

"We've collected the points, we're on top of the log, they're chasing us and we want to keep it like that.”

Ghana’s game against Ethiopia will kick off at 15:00GMT while South Africa’s game against Zimbabwe will be played at 21:00GMT.
