Head coach of Wa All Stars, Alhaji Mumuni Sokpari says he will not be carried away by his team's triumph in the 2018 GFA Gala competition ahead of the 2017/18 GPL season.
The Northern Blues won the two-day competition at Dr Nduom Sports Complex on Sunday by defeating Premier League debutants, Techiman Eleven Wonders 4-2 on penalties on Sunday.
"I won't be swollen headed because I have won a gala competition which could last 90 minutes at worst 60 minutes," he said.
"I will still want to believe the league is different from the gala competition so I will not rest on my odds."
Sokpari, also pledged to lead former Premier League champions to a higher level in the upcoming campaign.
"I will go all out and make sure I actually defend my position very well and should also be able to push Wa All Stars to a high level when the league starts."
