We will work hard and beat Mozambique - Danlad Ibrahim

Danlad Ibrahim, a goalkeeper for Asante Kotoko has stated that the Black Meteors will prepare very well and will not be complacent against Mozambique.

The Black Meteors beat Mozambique 2-1 in the first league in Maputo. Afriyie Barnieh scored twice to give the Black Meteors a vital win over Mozambique in the Caf U23 qualifying match.

The Hearts of Oak attacker scored in the 61st and 76th minute before the host pulled one back in the 88th minute.

The team arrived in Ghana on Tuesday evening and traveled to Kumasi to prepare for the second leg.

The second leg will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday at 3:00 pm.

According to Danlad Ibrahim, the players are not resting on the three points secured away because Kotoko had the same experience against Kadiogo.

“Asante Kotoko it happened to us we won away and when we came back were beaten here so that feeling we don’t want to go through it again. Yesterday I and my captain Afriyie spoke to the boys that we shouldn’t..we have to work extra harder so that we kill the game here.

"At least this is a national team and not club so if we are able to qualify it will give us the advantage that any call up they can get invited like I and Afriyie are doing. If they look at us as a model…our progression should motivate them so that they can make a good name for themselves. And I can say that the last episode I was part…the last edition I was part the U23 and I know the benefits if you are able to qualify for even Afcon I know the benefits in it," he said on Peace FM as monitored by footballghana.com

"So we have encourage the boys that the previous edition if we were able to get to a point this time we have to go beyond that point. Me I believe in history making history for yourself at least if you make your name in the history books of Ghana it helps the team you are going with. I pray that with the hard work and everything…Ghanaians also should come in their numbers to support us and we know inshaallah we will honor them,”
