Ghanaian giants, Hearts of Oak have extended a message of goodwill to midfielder Emmanuel Nettey as the player gears up to open a new chapter of his career in Iraq.
As reported by footballghana earlier this week, the combative midfielder has signed a contract with Iraqi Division One League side Duhok SC.
Confirming the departure of Emmanuel Nettey today, Hearts of Oak has thanked the player for his service to the club in the short stint he spent with the team.
“Accra Hearts of Oak will like to thank Emmanuel Nettey for his service to the club. His time with the club is hugely appreciated. He leaves after both club and player opted not to renew his contract. We wish him all the best as he takes up the next challenge,” a club statement said on Thursday evening.
At Hearts of Oak, Emmanuel Nettey helped the club to win the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup titles during the 2020/2021 football season.
