Napoli are reportedly interested in signing Werder Bremen and ex-Arsenal star Serge Gnabry in this summer's transfer window.
The Serie A club are running the rule over the Germany international, according to Gianluca De Marzio, who took to his official website to claim that Gnabry could be on his way to Naples if a sufficient enough offer is made.
Napoli have already strengthened their first-team options this month, with Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti arriving for around £11m, and manager Maurizio Sarri appears intent on adding to his attacking options as the Italian outfit go in search of knocking Juventus off their perch as the undisputed kings of Italian football.
Gnabry's possible arrival would apparently be as back-up for first choice wideman Jose Callejon, as well as an insurance policy for fellow attacker Lorenzo Insigne, who has been linked with a move away from the Stadio San Paolo in recent months.
Napoli would be able to snatch the forward up for a relatively small fee of around 8m euros (£6.8m) thanks to a release clause term inserted in his contract upon signing for Bremen - a payment that could end up proving to be a bargain.
Gnabry's potential signing, though, will not happen until July at the earliest, Di Marzio reports, and even then there could be complications in any deal to prise him from the Weser-Stadion, with Gnabry's sponsors Nike no doubt likely to be reluctant to allow Napoli to negotiate new marketing rights for the winger.

Former Gunner starlet Gnabry only joined Bremen in August after the Bundelsiga club had a £4.25m bid accepted for the 21-year-old. Gnabry, though, has gone on to settle into life extremely quickly in Germany's top flight, and has bagged seven goals and one assist in his first 15 appearances for Klaus Filbry's side.
His form led to a first senior international call-up to the German national side, with Gnabry sealing an outstanding senior bow with a hattrick in the 8-0 demolition of San Marino in November 2016.
Gnabry returns to action with Wolfsburg when Die Werderaner face off against title challengers Borussia Dortmund at home on January 21.
