Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is making a surprise move for Werder Bremen striker Max Kruse.
Goal says Kruse, 29, is on the Portuguese's list of potential summer transfer targets.
Kruse scored 15 goals in 23 games Weser-Stadion, including netting 11 times in as many matches in the last part of the season.
Werder are reluctant to lose the centre-forward, who has also attracted enquiries from the likes of Everton, Southampton and Stoke City.
Kruse has played 14 times for Germany and scored four goals.
