Former Arsenal midfielder Serge Gnabry hasn't ruled out a potential return to the Emirates in the future.

The German international left the Gunners last summer to join Bundesliga side Werder Bremen and has impressed, scoring seven goals in 15 league appearances.

And, while remaining evasive on his future plans, Gnabry admitted his next destination is likely to depend on his form in the remainder of the season, with Chelsea another possibility.

For my future, I've decided to focus on how I play now and today, Gnabry toldBild. That's why I'm trying to concentrate on the now.

As of today, I do not intend to change in the summer. But what happens in the future depends on my performance.

What if Chelsea or Arsenal come knocking? Well, at the moment I'm trying to give everything to Werder.

Gnabry also spoke of the difference between London and Bremen since switching clubs, and the potential that Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker could sign for the Bundesliga side.

"Perhaps it is good that Bremen is smaller," he said."There are more temptations in London than Bremen. As a footballer you feel comfortable where it is sporty. It's a great place to go, so Bremen is top as a city!

He added:"Mertesacker has a career not likemany footballers. He has enough experience to decide his way. Because he's a good buddy of mine, I'd be happy to play with him, of course. "
