Following the defeat to South Coast sideAFCBournemouth,Pulis described the first half:We've had the chances and Bournemouth scored most probably at the least time of the game you thought they were going to score.

"I thought we were poor first half because we were too far off them.We gave them five, ten yards too much room. They've got good energy and can play when they've got space and time.

"Having said that Saido Berahino's missed a great chance just before half-time.At this level you need to take those opportunities."

Talking about the second half, he said: We started the way you want to start and created quite a few chances. The keeper's made a wonderful save off Gareth McAuley. Saido could have had another two, one the keeper has saved with his legs.

Pulis also commented onNacer Chadli, suggesting he is a great edition, telling the officialWest Bromwich Albionwebsite:"He's a good footballer. His movement is fantastic. He passes the ball really well. It's a pleasure to watch him play.

"We've got to try and get him the ball more at times. There were opportunities to give the pass today, and we've gone out and gone the other side. He's a player, I'm sure, who will make and score us goals."
