Premier League side West Bromwich Albion are not giving up on signing Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew. The Baggies are looking a little short of striking options ahead of the new season, after veteran star Stephane Sessegnon and Victor Anichebe left earlier this summer.
Aston Villa chairman Xia has already noted that the Ghana international is not leaving the Villa Park but the Baggies are still keen on signing Ayew.
It is thought that fitness concerns was the reason for the aborted transfer, but it now means that the Baggies are looking elsewhere, with the Villa man Ayew seemingly at the top of their transfer targets.
The striker, who was one of select few who played well at Villa Park last season, scored seven goals in 34 appearances but was unable to keep The Villains in the top-flight.
