Leko has broken into Tony Pulis' side after coming through the club's academy and is now starting to establish himself on the wing, having made several appearances for the team.

And the winger, who is capped with England's junior teams, can be a future star for the Midlands club, according to his teammate James Morrison.

The midfielder said of Leko:Jon can be whatever he wants to be if he just tweaks a few things in his game and keeps working hard. He is still young.

I thought he came on and did well although it's always easier when you are trailing 4-0 and there isn't much pressure on you. He ripped some of the Manchester City defenders and he can certainly be a threat for us the games coming up.

Hopefully Jon can come into the team and keep performing how he has been. It's an added boost for the club with another youngster coming through."

The immediate challenge for Leko will nowbe to become a first team regular at the Hawthorns, as he continues his development.

He will need to show greater levels of consistency if he wants to win the confidence of manager Tony Pulis, who will now be looking for histeam to pick themselves up after the heavy defeat to Manchester City and prepare for their next league game against champions Leicester City.
