Out of favourWest Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino has been sent to a fitness camp in France by manager Tony Pulis, in a bid to resurrect his faltering career at the Hawthorns.

The move has seen the England Under-21 star become the butt of many a joke about his weight, but theMirrorreport that Berahino has poked fun at his critics with a selfie, via his Snapchat account.

The photo sees Berahino showing off his toned body in a mirror, alongside the tongue-in-cheek caption 'Fat boy'.

The photo is a fairly clear attempt to prove to Pulis that he doesn't need to be in France working on his physique - but given Pulis' dislike of social media, it doesn't seem likely thatthe cheeky photo will go down well with the former Stoke manager.

Pulis - who saw his side secure a 2-1 away win over reigning Premier League Champions Leicester City on Sunday - gave the frontman one week to regain his match sharpness.

Speaking last week on Berahino's fitness, the West Brom manager said, "Saido's off at a fitness centre, working with a fella I worked with when I was young in management."

Berahino continues to work on his match fitness "He is off at the moment, in a fitness centre, He's got a week there." Pulis confirms. #WBA

"He's got a week to top himself up to a level where hopefully he'll not only be sharp but be at a level to sustain it.

"The first six months [I was] here he was excellent - that's what we're trying to do, get him back to that level."

Berahino and Pulis have been on a crash course since the Welshman's arrival in the West Midlands, with the former Crystal Palace boss prepared to ostracize one of his biggest creative forces - in a side often bereft of invention - due to problems with his attitude and fitness.

However, Pulis has always reiterated that he would like to welcome Berahino back into the fold once his issues are resolved, so the ball would appear to be very much in the striker's court.
