West Ham have been given a fitness boost as striker Diafra Sakho has returned to full training, according to a report in theDaily Mail, with the playerset totake part in full first team training ahead of schedule and should be available to play after the international break.

The Senegalese international has not featured for the Hammers this season because of a back problem, but he has recovered quicker than expected and could make a premature return to the West Ham starting XI.

It is thought that he will not be fit in time for the Stoke game this coming weekend, but the 26-year-old is eyeing the Tottenham clash two weeks after that for a potential comeback.

Sakho returning to fitness gives Slaven Bilic a huge boost with his side sitting fourth bottom of the Premier League.

The Hammers havebeen plagued with injuries which have resulted in a very poor start to the season, but with a number of first teamers now finding their fitness, West Ham may be able to climb the table.

Sakho was reportedly eased back into training with the under-23s last week, but was not in the squad for the Premier League 2 match against West Bromwich Albionon Monday evening.

Incidentally, it was the Baggies and Tony Pulis who were forced to pull out of a proposed £16m deal for the Senegalese during the summer transfer window. His medical showed signs of a muscular injury in his back, which dissuaded the Midland club from signing him.

Bilic has also received other positive news in terms of fitness. Andy Carroll and Arthur Masuaku are closing in on a return after the international break.
