West Ham Manager Slaven Bilic Left Frustrated by 'Cheap' Stoke City Equaliser

West Ham bossSlaven Bilic admitted that he was annoyed with his players for conceding a "cheap"equaliser duringthe 1-1 draw with Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.

Despite being second best for much of the game, the Hammers found themselves ahead thanks to a Glenn Whelan own goal just after the hour mark.

Sadly for the home side, they were unable to hold on and a moment of madness from goalkeeper Adrian, gifted Bojan Krkic with a simple equaliser that would prove to be the final goal of the game, as both sides left the London Stadium with a point.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Bilic was quick to criticise his team for conceding the goal but refused to blame his goalkeeper for the error.

He said:"It was a mistake. Mistakes happen, and unfortunately he made one because he misjudged the timing.

"It was very cheap at a crucial moment of the game when you're 1-0 up and playing good. We knew they'd throw bodies up front and hit long balls but still...very cheap goal."

The draw adds to the frustration around the club as they still sit near the relegation zone having picked up 11 points from 11 matches this season.

Having created few chances throughout the game and offering very little to cheer for the home supporters, Bilic admitted the performance wasn't good enough even though he was happy with the point.

"We looked sharp in training and in the last few games, and there was really no reason. We didn't have a midweek game. It was just...flat.

"A point is a point and it's a fair result but we were looking for three. It wasn't a good game of football and no team deserved to win.

"Our first half was flat - we didn't start on our front foot. In the second half we improved a lot. We changed it a little bit and we scored the goal.Until they equalised we played good and created some good moments but then we conceded - from our point of view - a very cheap goal and it cost us the result."

The Hammers will now have to wait two weeks untiltheir next league match; a difficult away trip to London rivals Tottenham.

Bilic will hope the international break gives his players a much neededbreak from their club woes and that they return hungry to turn West Ham'sseason around.
