Hull City's 17-year-old defender Josh Tymon made his Premier League debut on Saturday in a 3-0 defeat at Sunderland.

Despite the loss, there can't be many better feelings than making your debut, butit's alsobeen revealed that the youngster earns just £150 a week, making him one of the lowest paid players to everappear in the Premier League.

Hull have dropped into the relegation zone in recent weeks, despite having picked up seven points in their first three games since promotion from the Championship last season.

Tymon had impressed in the FA Cup and at youth level, leading to the reward of a contract before his debut on Saturday. He was substituted in the second half after just over an hour, but his performances have reportedly alerted the attention of the likes of Arsenal and Everton.

The average Premier League wage is estimated at around £44,000 per week, so Tymon is some way off that at this early stage.

Hull striker Abel Hernandez earns what Tymon earns a week every 42 minutes.

But some inspiration for the teenager could be drawn from the rise of Marcus Rashford, who was reportedly earning just £500 when he broke into the Manchester United team last season.

Likewise, Wayne Rooney wasn't earning a great deal of money (£90 per week)when he broke onto the scene as a 16-year oldwith a wonder goal against Arsenal for Everton.
