Ghana Football Association Executive Committee member Wilfred Osei insists they will appoint a competent person for the vacant Black Stars coaching job.

The Ghana coaching job became vacant following the exit of Israeli trainer Avram Grant after the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

The GFA has since set up a six-member committee tasked to look for a new coach for the team.

Reports indicate that over 60 coaches have applied for the job and Wilfred Osei who doubles as vice chairman of the Black Stars management committee says they will get the best person for the job.

“We want to appoint a very competent Coach for the Black Stars, a Coach who will be in the country and work,” he said.

“A coach who will be dedicated to his work and eager to achieve something with the Black Stars.

“So we want to take our time in our selection but hopeful a new Coach will be appointed before our next World Cup qualifier.”
