”We will deal with the GFA after December 7 elections”- Deputy Sports Minister

The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Vincent Oppong Asamoah has warned the Ghana Football Association(GFA) that they will face court action after the 2016 elections in Decenber.

In an interview on Kumasi based Fox FM, the Deputy Minister said the Ministry has taken note of slanderous and defamatory comments made by some FA members but were waiting till after the elections on December 7 to show the GFA where power lies.

“Let them (GFA)continue with their vicious attack on Nii Lante Vanderpuye. At the right time, the law will take its course. Those people will have themselves to blame when we slap them with massive legal suit.

He added ”Let’s wait till the election is over and we shall see where power lies. They can continue to vilify and slander the Minister with articles on Ghanasoccernet but in due time, we will show them their real size”. A furious Oppong Asamoah disclosed to Kumasi based Fox FM Friday.

The Sports Ministry under the leadership of Nii Lante Vanderpuye has engaged in war of words with the GFA.
