One thing Asante Kotoko life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has been dreaming to hold is the Caf Champions League or the Confederations Cup.

The last time Asante Kotoko won an African competition was in 1970 and 1983 when they won the Champions League.

Since then, the Ghana Premier League side have failed to win any African trophy.

With Nana Yaw Amponsah coming in as the new Chief Executive Officer of the club, Otumfou Osei Tutu II will be counting on him to lead the club to conquer Africa.

Kotoko will play in the Champions League next season after the truncation of teh 2019/20 Ghana Premier League due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

The Porcupine Warriors in 2018 and 2019 played in the group phase of the Caf Confederations Cup.

Nana Yaw Amponsah has been awarded a three-year deal by the Board of Directors of the club.
