Willem II striker Okyere Wriedt sidelined for 2 weeks after picking up an injury

Willem II Tilburg striker Kwesi Okyere Wriedt is set for two weeks on the sidelines after sustaining an injury over the past weekend.

The Ghana international joined the Dutch Eredivisie club this summer in a transfer from German giants Bayern Munich.

During a pre-season friendly match against VVCS last Saturday, the forward was left with a broken metatarsal bone in his left foot.

In line with that Kwesi Okyere Wriedt is now set to stay in the recovery room for a couple of weeks.

Latest report from the Dutch club has indicated that he has so far responded well to treatment. If he continues at the current rate of recovery, the lethal striker could fully recover in time for Willem II’s opening match of the Eredivisie campaign against SC Heerenveen on Saturday, September 12, 2020.

Knowing the quality Okyere Wriedt adds to the team, the club is hoping he returns to the field as soon as possible.
