Arsenal are stalling on offering Jack Wilshere new terms.
The Daily Star says the club are yet to contact him about a new contract.
Wilshere - currently on honeymoon after marrying Andriani Michael in Tuscany six days ago - has just one year left on his current deal.
But while the Gunners have been pulling out the stops to keep the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, who are also going into their final year, the 25-year-old has heard nothing.
There has also been no inquiries from other clubs about signing Wilshere, due to a reluctance to buy a player with such lengthy injury history.
His latest setback came in April when he suffered a broken leg playing on loan for Bournemouth at Spurs.
