Veteran German tactician, Winfried Schafer, and Abdul Faisal are leading the race for the Technical Director job at the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The top position at the country’s football governing body has been vacant for the past 5 months after it was left by Coach Francis Oti Akenteng upon the expiration of his contract with the Ghana FA.
Months on, the country’s football governing body has not been able to settle on his successor even though they have received applications from interested parties.
While the search for a new GFA Technical Director continues, checks have revealed that one of either Winfried Schafer are Abdul Faisal could be given the role.
The GFA Executive Council is believed to be looking at these two individuals and will likely appoint one as the new Technical Director for the association soon.
Meanwhile, Names like Bashiru Hayford and Abdul Razak remains in the mix for the vacant position.
