Ghana forward, Emmanuel Gyasi is backing Spezia Calcio to turn around its bad form when club football returns after the international break.

After seven matches into the 2021/2022 Italian Serie A season, Spezia Calcio sits 19th on the league table having only picked four points.

Having featured for his team in the 4-0 defeat to Spezia Calcio last Sunday, Emmanuel Gyasi has rallied his team not to give up.

“Anyone can give up, it's the simplest thing in the world. But resisting when everyone else expects to see you fall apart, this is the real strength.

“When the going gets tough, the tough get to play. We demonstrate who we are, as we have always done from the beginning until today. Come on Spice,” Gyasi said after the defeat.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Gyasi has been excused from the Ghana squad expected to face Zimbabwe in the doubleheader clash of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
