Wolanyo Agra urges Nyantakyi to quit GFA if he wins FIFA Council position

Former National Sports Authority boss Wolanyo Agra wants Ghana Football Association president, Kwesi Nyantakyi to quit his position as the GFA president if he wins the FIFA Executive Council election.

The GFA president is in contention for the CAF FIFA Executive Council position but face a tough with Vice President of CAF, Suketu Patel of Seychelles pulled out of the race last week paving way for second the Vice President, Almamy Kabele Camara from Guinea, CAF Executive Committee member, Ahmad of Madagascar, Niger FA boss, Hamidou Djibilla and Senegal’s Augustine Senghor.

“I am very optimistic that Nyantakyi will win the elections because I have spoken to highly ranked people within CAF and many are ready to work with him.” Mr. Agra told Asempa Sports.

“He has done very well as the FA president but will advise him to quit as the FA president if he wins the elections because it will not be easy for him to combine both work.”
