Women's Premier League: Joe Nana Adarkwa, Suzzy Dede Teye named NASCO Coach and Player of the Month for February

Head coach of Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Joe Nana Adarkwa and Lady Strikers player, Suzzy Dede Teye have been named Nasco coach and player of the month for February respectively.

Joe Nana Adarkwa was shortlisted alongside three other coaches,Yusif Basigi of Hasaacas Ladies, Rashid Iddi of Lady strikers and Charles Anokye Frimpong of Kumasi Sports Academy for the coveted award.

Coach Adarkwa led Ampem Darkoa Ladies to win three matches with no defeat in the month of February, making his team the only WPL side with three clean sheet last month. This Performance places Ampem Darkoa at the apex of the Northern Zonal league table with 19 points.

Lady Strikers winger Suzzy Dede Teye performed creditably by playing all three games and scoring 4 goals in the Month of February, winning the NASCO player of the match once in the process. She beats of competition from Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ Patience Peterson Kundok, Northern Ladies’ Rahama Jafar and Hasaacas Ladies’ Janet Egyir.

The coach of the Month will pick up a NASCO 42 inch TV set and a trophy while the player of the Month is entitled to a NASCO 32 inch TV set and a trophy.
