World Cup 2022: Black Star are ready and fit for tournament – Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus

Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus has disclosed that Black Stars are fully fit and ready ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana will conclude their 2022 World Cup preparation with a friendly against Switzerland in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, November 17, 2022 before travelling to Qatar for the World Cup.

The match will take place at Baniyas club stadium at 10:00am GMT.

"We just came and preparation has been good. The whole team looks ready and fit so we just go tomorrow and give our best and prepare for the World Cup ahead," Kudus told ghanafa.org.

"All these three games are preparations for the games but tomorrow is another game.

"The past two games are finished and gone so we just need to take the game tomorrow as the first game in the World Cup to really create the intensity and energy and everything to get ready for the World Cup," he added.

Kudus has made 18 appearances and scored five goals for the Black Stars.

Black Stars. who are the lowest-ranked team at the tournament have been drawn in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.

Ghana will take on Portugal in their first game on November 24 before playing South Korea and Uruguay on November 28 and December 2 respectively.

Ghana secured a 4th FIFA World Cup tournament having participated in 2006, 2010, and 2014 in Germany, South Africa, and Brazil after drawing 1-1 against Nigeria in the return leg of the final play-offs at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja to seal qualification on the away goals rule.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup takes place between November 20 and December 18, 2022.

Only three sides from the continent have ever progressed to the quarter-finals; Cameroon in 1990, Senegal in 2002, and Ghana in 2010.

Ghana will be hoping to progress from the group stage at this year's tournament, having exited the group stage in the 2014 edition in Brazil.
